Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath, her character in the romance film Piano. Paquin is a native of Canada and New Zealand-born actress. Born in Winnipeg however, she was raised in Wellington, she made her first acting appearance in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress.
